The Only Reason

I wonder what makes a person think that all his assumptions are absolutely correct. What is it that makes people think that whatever they have assumed is “THE ONLY REASON” for something?
Maybe it’s some manifestation of “narrow-mindedNESS”—agreed, but what is it that gives them such an unshakeable confidence to eliminate all the other possibilities and stick with ‘THEIR ASSUMPTION’.

It’s good to hypothesize, after all it was hypothesis that lead SIR ISAAC NEWTON to formulate the LAWS of motion but how can people’s unproven hypothesis simply become “THE LAW”.
