A Period of Silence
woh kehti hay, mujhay bay-hiss zamanay say shikaayat hay
main kehta hoon kay yeh shikwaa shikaayat raayagaa’n hay sub
Well I dont really believe that “shikwa shikayat raayagaan hay”, but the fact is that, really, at times one does feel that the inconsiderate people just dont listen.
And its not just about being inconsiderate, there is a lot more to it.
On the whole, the masses have become insensitive.
And their attitudes makes one feel like giving up.
And then comes a period of SILENCE,
when one doesn’t feel like saying anything,
when one doesn’t feel like writing anymore,
when one doesn’t feel like expressing anything,
because one is taken up by a “Leave-it-No-Use” feeling.
But then there is something inside us which makes us think:
“NO, Its not time to give up.”
woh kehti hay, mujhe mayoosian rasta nahi daytee’n
main kehta hoon kay yeh mayoosian taaqat bhi hoti hain

its a beautiful piece of writing madiha… u’ve written about the period of silence… it reminds me of the quote ‘the darkest hour is that before dawn’ … the no-use-leave it feeling is pretty much here … but the fact is that it cannot be contained any longer… we need to keep on trying … we did it to remove a dictator we can do it agin to make the systems right… only if we’re not fooled by the bloody politicians that have the same face each time but behind a different mask… they’ve incapacitated and desensitized our public cognitive abilities… we need a Furqan we need it badly.
